The local and Cloud boundary
VibeMate's localhost application reads Claude and Codex session archives in place on your computer. Raw archives, rejected Stories, evidence paths, investigation prompts, agent reasoning, tool calls, local notes, and unapproved drafts are not uploaded to VibeMate Cloud.
You select Claude or Codex as a local writing provider. The selected provider CLI may receive bounded, redacted evidence under your provider account and its terms. VibeMate Cloud does not receive your raw session archive.
Before publication, you can inspect the rendered Profile, social card, and exact structured payload. Cloud publication occurs only after you choose to publish and verify your email.
Information VibeMate Cloud processes
- Account and delivery: verified email address, hashed email identifiers, OTP challenges, login sessions, delivery status, and abuse-prevention counters.
- Approved Profile: headline, Profile Markdown, language, Skills, selected Story titles, summaries and Markdown, activity summary, prompt version, and immutable version identifiers.
- Your settings: visibility, Profile animal, matching languages, introduction interval, and matching status.
- Matching: one embedding per immutable Profile version, candidate similarity, model judgment, match reason, response state, introduction tokens, and delivery records.
- Support and operations: support category, reply email, message, timestamps, request-security hashes, Lambda error metadata, queue state, and service-health metrics.
Public Profiles show only the approved public Profile content. Your email address, login session, embedding, operational records, and matching-control data are not displayed on your public Profile.
Why we use this information
- Verify email ownership and provide secure Profile management.
- Publish and render the exact Profile version you approved.
- Generate one cross-language Profile embedding and retrieve plausible matching candidates.
- Ask the matching model whether two Profile owners are likely to value an introduction and explain why.
- Apply your language, visibility, frequency, pause, cancellation, and mutual-introduction choices.
- Deliver verification codes, matching notifications, service messages, and support responses.
- Prevent abuse, diagnose failures, secure the service, and control cost.
VibeMate does not sell personal information or use uploaded Profile data for advertising.
Visibility and matching
A public Profile has a shareable URL. A matched-only Profile is available through the controlled matching flow rather than the public directory. You can change visibility, matching languages, introduction interval, or matching status after signing in.
Matching uses approved Profile content and Skills, not your raw sessions. Embedding similarity creates candidates; a high-capability language model evaluates whether both people are likely to value the introduction. Contact information is revealed through the mutual-introduction process.
Retention
Deleting a Cloud Profile removes its active records, versions, selected Stories, embeddings, publication receipts, login sessions, and slug mapping from the live service. Encrypted point-in-time recovery copies expire through AWS's rolling backup window and are not used by the live product.
Your choices and rights
Use Manage Profile to review versions, change Profile visibility and matching controls, or permanently delete Cloud Profile data. Edit and republish from the local application to correct Profile content. Use Support for access, correction, deletion, privacy, abuse, or security requests.
You may stop matching notifications by pausing or cancelling matching. Transactional verification messages are sent only in response to your email verification or login action.
Service providers and international processing
VibeMate uses Amazon Web Services for content delivery, compute, storage, encryption, email delivery, queues, monitoring, backup, embeddings, and matching-model execution. Processing may occur in AWS regions outside your country, including Singapore, subject to provider safeguards and applicable law.
Security, age, and changes
We use encryption in transit, managed encryption at rest, least-privilege service roles, expiring login tokens, rate limits, suppression controls, immutable Profile versions, monitoring, and owner-controlled deletion. No online service can guarantee absolute security.
VibeMate is for people aged 18 or older. We will publish material policy updates with a new version and effective date. Publication records retain the policy versions accepted with each Profile version.
Questions or requests can be submitted through VibeMate Support.
